Born in the small town of Castlegar British Columbia, nestled at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Steve Hall was an avid film enthusiast at a very young age. While in high school, he won first prize at the Vancouver Film Festival for "Best Amateur Documentary". From that moment on, his love of film and dream of becoming a film maker grew into an obsession.
Steve grew up riding dirt bikes and racing motocross but found himself behind the lens more often than the subject of the camera. He naturally progressed from filming his friends ride moto to pursuing a path in films that lit up the big screen. He moved to Vancouver and started out as a grip in a B grade horror film, eventually making his debut as an assistant camera man in an award winning independent film. Steve realized that creating somebody else's vision wasn't the satisfaction he had hoped for, so he left Vancouver and headed back into the southern interior of British Columbia to find himself and to stay true to his roots. There Steve teamed up with Tyler Hadikin and they both came together to create Stacked Films. A company that promotes their love of film and helps dreamers to dream.
Tyler Hadikin grew up in the West Kootenay region of British Columbia Canada and claims that it has been the single greatest inspiration in his life. Being surrounded by such beauty made it nearly impossible for Tyler to not want to capture it all on camera. Growing up, Tyler had always found himself behind a camera filming what him and his friends did best, and later editing and refining the footage just because he loved it. After sharing some time on the opposite side of the lense as a semi-professional snowmobile athlete, he decided to start taking the film aspect of his life more seriously. Tyler decided to start up a local company (Kootenay Rider) and began creating videos simply for everyone else to enjoy. He felt the feeling of satisfaction from others appreciation of his work outweighed that of his snowmobiling career and started to realize his true potential.
Tyler and his long term friend Steve Hall, who was also an avid film enthusiast, decided to team up and pool their resources to make something special. Together they created Stacked films and are eager to provide the highest quality videography to those who seek out their skills and love of the art form.
